Assam Police Job Vacancy 2020:For 204 Junior Assistant & Stenographer Posts
STATE LEVEL POLICE RECRUITMENT BOARD OF ASSAM has released an employment notification for the recruitment to the 185 Junior Assistant posts and 19 posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Directorate of A.P.HQrs. and district police cadre.
1. Junior Assistant (A.P.HQrs)
No of posts: Total:-15 – UnReserved:4 (Male-3 Female-1), OBC/MOBC: 3(Male- 2 Female- 1), STP: 3 (Male-2 Female-1), STH:1 (Male1 Female0) SC:3 (Male-2 Female-1)

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce, or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University and must possess Diploma in Computer.
2. Junior Assistant (District Police)
No of posts: Total 170 – UnReserved:60 (Male-42 Female-18), OBC/MOBC: 38 (Male- 27 Female- 11), STP: 16 (Male-11 Female-5), STH: 3 (Male2 Female 1) SC:8 (Male-6 Female 2) EWS: 45 (Male 31 Female 14)

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce, or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University and must possess Diploma in Computer.
3. Stenographer (Grade-III)
No of posts: Total 19 – UnReserved: 0 (Male-0 Female-0), OBC/MOBC:5 (Male- 3 Female- 2), STP: 3 (Male-2 Female-1), STH:1 (Male1 Female0) SC:3 (Male-2 Female-1)
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
Age Relaxation:
Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January 2020 (candidate must have born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982).
Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
- 05 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (H) &ST (P).
- 03 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
For the purpose of determining the age limit, the SLPRB will accept only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate/admit a card issued by a recognized education Board. No other document relating to age such as Document1 Page 3 of 9 horoscopes, affidavit, birth extract from Municipal Corporation, Health Department, service record, etc. will be accepted
Selection Procedure:
Written Test, Practical Test & Stenography Test (For Stenographer Gr III only).
